Article 28 of UNCRC relates to the right of every child has to an education.  It is very important that adults work together to ensure that all children and young people are able to fully enjoy this right.

Education provides youngsters not only with the knowledge, skills and experiences to help them throughout their lives it also helps them develop their own personality and social skills.

Where children do not attend school we work with parents to find out the reasons, to support their education when they are absent and to get them back to school as soon as they can.  The notes on the link below set out what parents/guardians should do for absences/appointments etc

As a school we are trying to increase pupil attendance and reduce pupil absence.  Our figures improved in session 2018/19 and we ask for the support of parents to continue this improvement eg by not booking holidays during term time and by doing all you can to encourage attendance every day.
